LONG BEACH - A Long Beach Highway Department supervisor and a former Highway Department employee are accused of stealing snow equipment from the city.

Prosecutors say Charles Porcaro and Jeorking Welker stole three salt spreaders and sold them for just over $300 in scrap metal.

The gear was worth more than $14,000.

Both men now face grand larceny charges.
