2 motorcyclists hurt in collision with NY deputy
CHITTENANGO, N.Y. - CHITTENANGO, N.Y. (AP) — Two motorcyclists are recovering after colliding with the same sheriff's department patrol car on a central New York road.
Authorities say the collisions occurred around 7:30 Monday on a road in Chittenango, 10 miles east of Syracuse.
Emergency officials say a woman driving a motorcycle hit a Madison County Sheriff's Department patrol car. A man riding a motorcycle behind her also struck the deputy's car.
Both bikers were treated at a Syracuse hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The deputy wasn't injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
