Police say they have arrested two teenage girls in connection with a white powder scare in Darien.

DARIEN - Police say they have arrested two teenage girls in connection with a white powder scare in Darien.

They say at least two residents reported receiving suspicious letters in the mail with powder inside, which turned out to be harmless.

Police say the two teens, who are both from Darien, turned themselves in yesterday and now face several charges.

They said their identities are being withheld because of their ages.
