Half Hollow Hills West and Long Island Lutheran are among the 15 schools competing in the 2013 Big Apple Basketball High School Invitation this weekend at Baruch College in Manhattan.

Hills West, led by Marcus Solomon, Terry Harris and Jamir Blackman, will face Bayside (Queens) on Saturday at noon. Lutheran, led by  Connecticut-bound center Kentan Facey and sophomore point guard Chris Atkinson, also faces Bayside, on Monday at noon.

This is the 10th annual BAB event on Martin Luther King weekend, showcasing top high school basketball programs from the northeast. This year, there are schools from New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Vermont and Massachusetts featuring several high school All-Americans committed to Division I colleges.

Tickets are $10 general admission, $5 for youth and high school students with ID. Baruch College is located at the corner of E. 24th Street and Lexington Avenue.
