The Nassau Class B boys lacrosse quarterfinals begin Thursday. Below is a quick look at each game. Below that, you can vote on who will win each game.

No. 1-1 Garden City vs. No. 2-4 Hewlett

Thursday, 6:30 p.m., at Hofstra

About Garden City (13-3): The defending state B champions are led by attackman Justin Guterding on offense and Ed Blatz on defense. However, Garden City has won many games this year because of the outstanding play of James Sullivan, Cody George and others who benefit when Guterding is double-teamed.

About Hewlett (9-7): It’s rare for Zach Richman to play in a game and not score more than one goal — the last time that happened was April 17. Goalie Justin Isaacs had a strong season with 116 saves.

No. 2-2 Lynbrook vs. No. 1-3 Long Beach

Thursday, 4:30 p.m., at Hofstra

About Lynbrook (12-4): Defenders Matt Mott, Zach Weiss and Eddie Bouhall, and goalie Gregory Karaczynksi have helped keep opposing teams to under 10 points in every game but one (Manhasset scored 10 and beat Lynbrook on April 17).

About Long Beach (14 -2): Despite playing most of the season with a bum hamstring, James Forkin scored more than 50 goals this season. Jake Brown and goalie Sam Weiss anchor the defense.

No. 2-1 Manhasset vs. No. 1-4 Carey

Friday, 6:30 p.m., at Hofstra

About Manhasset (13-3): The Indians have won eight consecutive games, including a 9-7 win over Garden City on April 27. Manhasset, led by Mike Fahey on offense and Dylan Meyer at goalie, seem poised for a long playoff run.

About Carey (8-8): Matt Robison leads the team with 32 goals, and Brett Campos is a more than capable faceoff specialist.

No. 1-2 Wantagh vs. No. 2-3 North Shore

Friday, 4:30 p.m., at Hofstra

About: Wantagh (15-2): The Warriors have three attackmen who have scored more than 30 goals this year — Kyle Cain (32 goals), Brian Quinn (34) and Brandon Watson (41). Goalie Will Fitzpatrick recorded 175 saves.

About North Shore (11-5): Dan Grabher has won more than 80 percent of his faceoffs this year. The senior attack also has 35 goals and 38 assists.
