BRIDGEPORT - Friends of Dewayne Gardner spoke with News 12 Connecticut about the arrest of Dovante Gray-Brown, who was arrested Saturday in connection to Gardner’s murder.

Police previously arrested 22-year-old Dominick Gonzalez in the Dec. 16 murder on Poplar Street.

Gardner was shot several times in the torso and crashed his Nissan Pathfinder in attempt to flee the incident.

Friends say Gardner, a graduate of Central High School, was an usher at a local church and sang in the choir.

Gray-Brown is being held on $1 million bond.
