OTISVILLE - Three men were shot early Sunday morning following a brawl at a sports bar in Otisville.

The incident occurred at the Victory Lane Bar and Grill, which is across the street from a federal prison on Sanitorium Avenue.

Police say they found brothers, Andrew and David Babcock injured from gunshots. The 25 and 27-year-olds were airlifted to Westchester Medical Center and admitted with non-life threatening injuries.

A third man, Kevin Brennan Jr., age 24, of Middletown, was brought by private vehicle to Orange Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for a minor gunshot wound.

During the investigation, police learned that Brennan shot Babcock inside the bar after an altercation between Babcock and Thomas Hughes, a friend of Brennan’s. As Brennan left the bar, investigators say Babcock followed him into the parking lot where they exchanged gunfire.

A friend told News 12 that Babcock was wearing a T-shirt displaying the insignia of his biking group, which may have sparked the violence with a rival biking group member.

Babcock was carrying a legally possessed and registered handgun at the time of the altercation.

Brennan was arraigned on numerous charges yesterday in Town of Mount Hope Court and committed to Orange County Jail.

Hughes, 26, of Port Jervis, was also arraigned and charged with one count of criminal possession of a weapon.

Charges against Babcock will be considered upon his release from the hospital.
