May 2008 Winner

Congratulations to Cynthia French of Miller Place High School. She was nominated by her student, Briana Sguera, for Newsday's Teacher of the Month Award. Here's what her student Briana had to say about her:

"I think Mrs. French should be nominated for teacher of the month because she always understands where you are coming from. No matter what you're going through she always finds some way to relate to how you are feeling even through school work. Mrs. French will always find a way to help you pass the class by hard work and perseverance. She is always there to help no matter how many different things she has going on. Everything Mrs. French does for her students is from the heart and that's why she is my Teacher of the Month!"
