Show how your company cares for Long Island, too . . .

This holiday season link arms with Newsday Charities, Motorola and other Long Island businesses in a truly unique, Island-wide campaign to help needy children and families in our communities. It's called Companies That Care, an effort of Newsday Charities, a fund of the McCormick Foundation.

Right now, there are families on Long Island struggling to feed their children and heat their homes. With support from our business community, we can make a real difference for them.

Through Newsday Charities, nearly $6 million has been raised and distributed since 2000 to help Long Islanders. The need continues to grow and we are committed to help.

Motorola kicked off the campaign with a generous gift of $50,000. Your business can help make a difference as well. A contribution of any size will help provide much-needed services to families in need.

For every dollar raised, the McCormick Foundation will provide a 50-cent match. Newsday and the Foundation cover all campaign costs so 100 percent of the money raised, plus the match, goes to people in need on Long Island.

We hope you consider this program as a way to show how your company cares for Long Island. Every corporate donor will be recognized in a Companies That Care thank you ad in Newsday and on Newsday.com.
