Q. What is the most reliable way I can send my electronic ad to Newsday?
A.

We recommend using the following providers, see the Digital ad Delivery page of this web site.

Q. Can I E-mail my ad to Newsday?
A. No. Direct E-mail is used as a last resort and requires approval by Newsday.
Q. What is Newsday's Adsend code?
A. NYANE.
Q. What file formats does Newsday support ?
A. Newsday prefers Acrobat PDF file format and will accept EPS and PS file formats (providing the font and graphic information is embedded). Newsday is equipped to handle native file formats for Quark, Indesign, CorelDraw, Freehand, Photoshop, and Illustrator (be sure to include all fonts, images and art). Newsday supports both the Macintosh and PC platforms.
Q. What resolution (dpi) should my images be saved as?
A. Newsday prints at 100 linescreen. Your image resolution should be at
minimum 200 dpi (this equals 100 linescreen X 2).
Q. Can I send my ad as a jpeg file?
A. It is not recommended to send an ad as jpeg format.
Q. Does Newsday accept ads created on the PC platform?
A. Yes. In the formats listed above. We are Macintosh based at Newsday and one of the biggest concerns when sending a PC created ad to Newsday is fonts. You can create a PS file, embedding all the fonts. Again, Newsday prefers a correctly distilled Acrobat PDF file.
Q. How can I be sure Newsday has received my ad ?
A. Most of the providers listed will send you an E-mail confirming that your ad has
been received. You can call Newsday's Remote Transmission Department
(631-843-5468) to confirm.
Q. When does my electronic ad need to be received by Newsday?
A.
