Bio

The "Help Wanted" column tries to provide solutions to vexing problems employees and employers face in the workplace.

In the 10 years that I've written the column I received some interesting letters, including how to deal with a screaming boss and whether the boss can legally refuse to pay overtime.

I was able to call on that accumulated expertise when I wrote the book "151 Quick Ideas to Deal With Difficult People," which was published in April.

The column has been so gratifying to write. It allows me to make a difference.

I live in Nassau County and I am the mother of three teens.
