THE BRONX - The man who was dragged from his SUV and beaten by a group of motorcyclists in September plans on suing the city over the attack.

Alexian Lien was assaulted by a group of bikers on the West Side Highway in Manhattan after a confrontation, which was filmed and posted on the Internet.

Prosecutors say an off-duty police detective, Wojciech Braszczok, was among the bikers who chased and beat Lien. The lawsuit accuses the police department of failing to properly train officers.

A spokesperson for the city's legal department says it would defend the claim if it proceeds to a full lawsuit.
