Manicured lawns, elaborate statues and plenty of greenery will be showcased Saturday, June 9, during the fifth annual Bronxville Garden Tour.

The self-guided tour begins at noon at Bronxville Village Hall, 200 Pondfield Rd., and ends at 4 p.m. Both location maps and tickets will be available at Village Hall on the day of the tour. Tickets are $20 each and include a wine and cheese reception at a village home.

Tickets are on sale at several Bronxville retailers including: Isabel's Beauty Salon, Kensington Paper, Mrs. Morgan's Flower Shop, The Silk Road, Tryforos and Pernice Florist, Wine and Spirits Emporium and Womrath Bookshop.

The event, sponsored by the Bronxville Beautification Committee, will highlight the gardens of six local homes. Organizers say the locations on this year's tour will offer the ultimate in variety including small, cottage-style gardens and larger, more ornate grounds.

The tour will also feature the Bronxville Nature Preserve as well as the newly landscaped railroad plaza in downtown. Other sites on the tour will not be revealed until the day of the event. Those attending are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes.
