Main Catch, a fine dining seafood restaurant, opened four days ago in the former digs of  Southside Fish & Clam Restaurant, which retains its original Lindenhurst location. The new place is under the same ownership as Southside.

According to executive chef Mario Coiro, who last cooked at Marino’s on the Bay in Port Washington, the restaurant offers both an oyster bar and a sushi bar. On Coiro’s menu: grilled swordfish ($27), Newport shrimp and scallops over capellini in saffron sauce ($24) and prime dry aged rib steak ($34).

Coiro said the place is done in lots of mahogany and has a nautical feel.

Main Catch is at 1095 Jericho Tpke., Commack, 631-486-8865.
