Not long ago, at Show Win in Northport, I noticed — and ordered — a duck tortilla roll from a menu insert of dinner specials. The crisp and alluring little cylinders ($8), made with duck, scallions, hoisin sauce and flour tortillas, are fried and then cut on the bias. Kelli’s Grille & Wing House takes over the freestanding brick building that used to house Foster’s Grille. It seems to have been born for watching big games.
As owner Joe Crennan tells it, there are 25 flat screen TVs playing virtually every sporting event televised, including pay-per-views. Individual TV screens in booths can be tuned to kids’ shows on request.

Kushi Japanese Fusion takes over the diminutive Nesconset strip mall space that used to house Kazu. The place is actually the offshoot of another Long Island Japanese restaurant, Onsen Sushi in Oakdale.

Tuesday is pasta night at Ragazzi Italian Kitchen and Bar in Nesconset. For $19.95, you'll be able to get a three-course prix-fixe meal that starts with a Caesar or mixed green salad followed by your selection of any menu pasta entree, ordinarily ranging from $12 to $16.
