Madison & Main, at 126 Main St. in downtown Sag Harbor, has closed.
In its place, a branch of Huntington's Doppio Artisan Bistro is expected to open in March. At The Cuddy, Sag Harbor’s new gastropub, beverage director Derek Nielsen has created a menu of delicious “handcrafted” cocktails to go with chef Gilberto Chico’s refined comfort food. Look for drinks made with fresh juices, artisanal bitters, house-made maraschino cherries and flavored syrups.

Cavaniola’s, Sag Harbor’s specialty market, has opened a satellite location inside Vines & Branches, the olive oil and balsamic emporium on Main Street in Greenport.
Michael and Tracey Cavaniola preside over a little gastronomic empire that also includes a cheese store, takeout shop and wine cellar in Sag Harbor and a Manhattan branch in TriBeCa. The Greenport store opened on April 10.

Phao, which brought a lively Thai flavor as well as a lively bar scene to Sag Harbor, has closed. The restaurant had received a two-star rating from Newsday’s Peter M. Gianotti.
A note on its website says the owners are creating a new restaurant in the same space, to debut in the spring.
