Another waterfront restaurant has rebounded and rebuilt in the wake of superstorm Sandy. VIEW in Oakdale just reopened following a major repair and restoration. The dining spot is known not only for its New American food but also for its outdoor dining and nautical vistas.

Kyle Strong Romeo is the new executive chef at Stonewalls restaurant, situated at The Woods at Cherry Creek golf course in Riverhead.

He succeeds Guy Peuch, who established the restaurant a decade ago.  Peuch (shown above in the Stonewalls dining room), a veteran French chef who also starred at the former Inn on the Harbor in Cold Spring Harbor, has retired.
