Massa’s in Huntington Station is now Christian’s

In April, Massa’s Pizzeria in Huntington Station changed its name to Christiano’s. Bill Massa opened this coal-fired-oven spot in 2004 and over the years it ascended to the highest ranks of Long Island pizzerias. About three years ago, Massa sold the business but allowed it to keep the Massa name.
In April, however, Massa signed the lease on a restaurant at 345 Main Street in Huntington Village (former site of Guido’s) and he took his name back. (The new Massa's, complete with a new coal-fueled oven, is scheduled to open later this summer.)
Today I stopped by Christiano's for lunch, and I saw that the “o” had been removed from the signage and that the new name is Christian's — although the menu still says “Christiano's.“
Whatever. My individual Margherita pie ($7.75) was just fine, doing credit to the coal oven that made it. I had planned to eat a few slices and take the rest back to the office; instead I finished the whole thing.
