Vero in Amityville, one of the top restaurants of 2011 and long-closed because of a fire, is accepting reservations for Nov. 1.

Reservations are available online via Open Table. The information also is available on Vero's Facebook page.

Massimo Fedozzi, who earned the modern Italian restaurant three-and-one-half stars, returns as chef. He has been cooking at nearby Vittorio's, which is under the same management.

Vero has stood out for its salumi, cheeses, pastas, seafood, steaks and small plates. The menu appears to have been tweaked and streamlined, but not entirely overhauled.
