Only four more weeks for the indoor G&G Huntington winter farmers market. This Sunday, Heirloom Vegan Eatery from Williamsburg, Brooklyn will be serving a selection of their entirely meat-free specialties, among them vegan gyros and souvlaki, pulled “pork” sandwiches, kale chips and Tater Tots. Sandwiches are $8, sides are $3, combos for $10.

Coming to Walt Whitman Shops later this year are three new eateries: P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Brio Tuscan Grille and Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar.

Gimme 2 Sandwiches & Salads, located across from Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Station, has closed. The little building previously housed Greek Captain and, before that, Starbucks.
While Gimme 2 was small and modest in appearance, its sandwiches — most memorably the Cuban and the Reuben — delivered a lot of flavor for very little money....
