The Library Cafe in Farmingdale is featuring a wine tour package, which is available every Saturday and Sunday this summer, but only with reservations. The cost of the package is $90 a person (plus tax and gratuities) and includes round-trip transportation to three North Fork vineyards — Baiting Hollow, Lenz and Pellegrini — with a wine tasting at each, followed by dinner back at the restaurant.

Uva Rossa — Italian for red grape — is the name of the wine bar and small plates restaurant that opened last night in the Malverne space that, for over 30 years, hosted Cork N Board.
Chef owner Antonio Bove, who hails from Caserta, near Naples, also owns Il Villagio Trattoria Italiana, as well as Antonio's Italian American Deli, both also in Malverne.

Two Huntington establishments, Bin 56 wine bar and Ideal Cheese shop, are pairing up for a wine-cheese pairing that goes far beyond California chardonnay and mass-produced Brie. On Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m., Bin 56, which specializes in unusual wines from unexpected locales, will host the event.

Vine Wine Bar is celebrating its three-year anniversary with a series of wine classes.
