Asian-fusion, which has become more than a trendlet on Long Island, is the theme at the new Ting in Huntington. It's well-played.
Ting succeeds Dao and Legacy, the two restaurants with similar orientation that recently occupied this site, and improves on both.

The opening of an Italian restaurant on Long Island ordinarily is met with a yawn. But La Notte is a wake-up call.

What is special at Kushi Japanese Fusion restaurant in Nesconset, says Joan Reminick, is the sushi, the rolls and the mixed seafood yaki udon. Plus, the warm and welcoming service. She gives the restaurant two and a half stars.

A colorful new facade drew me to La Hacienda del Rio, an El Salvadoran restaurant that, until now, had blended unobtrusively into the Huntington Station streetscape.
