Brookhaven constituent phone system hits 300k calls
Nearly three years after it started the program, the Town of Brookhaven says it has surpassed 300,000 calls to its 451-TOWN constituent response system.
The (631) 451-TOWN contact center, staffed with as many as seven call-takers at a time weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., averages more than 500 calls a day from residents seeking everything from general information to questions about garbage...
