Suffolk issues 88 traffic violations in air sweep

The Suffolk County Sheriff's Office now has eyes in the sky to target reckless drivers on the Long Island Expressway and Sunrise Highway.
Sheriff Vincent DeMarco announced Friday that his office is working with the Bergen County, N.J., prosecutor’s office to patrol the two roads for cars speeding and weaving through traffic. The idea is to quickly dispatch officers to catch violators.
