    New York politics, post-Harlem

    The United States may not really be post-racial, but Aftrican-American politics in New York has clearly reached the post-Harlem stage, as this Times story suggests. It comes up at a time when leaders of different generations, Gov. David Paterson and Charles Rangel, encounter their separate troubles.
