Al Montoya in goal vs. Avalanche

  Al Montoya gets the start in goal tonight for the Islanders here in Denver, his first start since Oct. 20. He was very sharp in relief of Evgeni Nabokov in Monday’s 6-2 loss to the Bruins in Boston, stopping 22 of 24 shots, so Jack Capuano made the clear choice to go back with Montoya. Rick DiPietro will be tonight’s backup against the Avalanche, who are going with Semyon Varlamov in goal....
