Koskinen out 8-10 weeks
Bridgeport Sound Tigers goaltender Mikko Koskinen is out 8-10 weeks with a torn labrum in his hip. Koskinen, who was taken by the Islanders in the second round of this year's draft, was 1-1 with a 2.45 goals against average in two starts this season.
UPDATE: Koskinen will undergo surgery to repair his torn labrum, likely within the next week. I'm guessing that means he'll head to Vail, Colorado to pay a visit to renowned hip surgeon Dr. Marc Philippon at The Steadman-Hawkins Clinic.
