Ex-Boxing champ Vernon Forrest shot and killed
The world of boxing was dealt another blow as former two-division champion Vernon Forrest was shot and killed in his hometown of Atlanta on Saturday night, according to police.
Forrest, 38, was shot "multiple times in the back" during what may have been a robbery, Atlanta police Sgt. Lisa Keys wrote in an email to the Associated Press.
