Westchester County newspaper shrivels further
The Journal News, a Gannett paper that covers Westchester County and environs, is in the midst of shedding a depressingly large chunk of its newsroom staff.
This week both of its football writers, long-time Giants beat reporter Ernie Palladino and Jane McManus, who had covered the Jets, chose to leave in advance of layoff announcements. So did the sports section's assignment editor.
