Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch declares snow emergency

Anyone parked on a Snow Emergency route could be fined or have their car towed.

BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch declared a snow emergency Tuesday, starting at 6 a.m.

This meant that residents had to move their cars off snow emergency streets, which are all marked with signs. Anyone who remained parked on a snow emergency route risked fines or towing.

Alternate side parking rules remained in effect for all other streets. Residents could also park at designated school parking lots, including Cesar Batalla and Central High School.
