Drivers looking to travel northbound around midday Thursday in the area between Yonkers and Bronxville will have to get creative.

All northbound lanes of the Bronx River Parkway will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday between the Sprain Brook Parkway and Scarsdale Road (Exit 4), according to a Westchester County statement Wednesday.

In addition, the Paxton Avenue on/off ramps on the BRP will be closed to traffic during the same hours. The closures are necessary for milling and paving work on the parkway, the county said.

Delays are expected and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.

For more information, call the county Public Works Department and Transportation-Traffic Engineering Division at (914)995-2555.
