The brothers of a Newburgh man killed by police were allegedly involved in a drive-by shooting on Wednesday.

Police say the brothers of Michael Lembhard, who was shot and killed by Newburgh police in March, may have been linked to a shooting at 123 Carter Street in Newburgh.

Witnesses told police they saw shots fired at the house from a white car, and that the men inside the vehicle were Basil and Calvin Lembhard.

Basil Lembhard, police say, had a heated argument with his girlfriend's stepfather and was stabbed during the fight.

Newburgh Police are investigating the altercation.
