European stocks, Wall Street gain on US GDP data

LONDON (AP) — Stocks rose Thursday in Europe and on Wall Street after better-than-expected U.S. data showed the world's largest economy grew at its fastest pace for two years from July to September.

The government report delivered the strongest signal yet that the economy has entered a new, though fragile, phase of recovery and that the worst recession since the 1930s has ended.
