Healthcare products distributor Henry Schein, Inc. has acquired Custom Automated Prosthetics, a 6-year-old supplier of products to dental laboratories, the Melville company announced.

Stoneham, Massachusetts-based CAP, with 2015 revenue of about $30 million, will become part of Henry Schein’s Zahn Dental unit. Bob Cohen, president and co-founder, and Rob Nazzal, chief executive and co-founder of CAP, will join Henry Schein.

CAP offers computer-aided design and manufacturing equipment such as scanners, printers and millers for crowns and bridges.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Stanley Bergman, chairman and chief executive of Henry Schein, said that the acquisition will strengthen the company’s relationships with dental laboratory customers “as we continue to lead the transition to digital dental technology.”

Melville-based Henry Schein, Long Island’s largest publicly traded company by revenue, makes and distributes products for office-based medical, dental and animal health practitioners and has operations or affiliates in 33 countries.
