Advice on managing a family owned businesses
A panel of executives from three local family owned businesses will offer stories and advice on how to navigate the often complex world of running a company with a relative at a talk next week.
The event, which will run as a panel discussion over dinner, will take place next Tuesday at Carlyle on the Green in Farmingdale from 6 to 9 p.m., with the panel starting at 7:15 p.m.
The panel will comprise of the presidents of three local companies: David Friedfeld, of ClearVision Optical, in Hauppauge; Ted Heim, of Inter-County Bakers, in Lindenhurst; and Gregg Richard, of P.C. Richard & Son, in Farmingdale.
The discussion, which will focus on the three executives and their experiences with their own family owned businesses, will be moderated by Davi Tserpelis, a senior vice president at Citibank in Long Island.
The trio of executives will also take questions from the audience after the talk.
