Bethpage-based Best Yet Market, a family-run chain of grocery stores that puts a major emphasis on fresh produce, deli sales and baked goods, is set to open two new supermarkets on Long Island in coming weeks.

Both locations, which will open in late April or early May, will fill stores left empty during a spate of Waldbaums store closings.

And both will have a new name -- Best Market. The company is "now hiring for all positions" in East Patchogue and Huntington Station, and for its other 11 stores on Long Island. Its existing stores, which are named Best Yet, will be renamed Best Market.

Newsday reported in November that one of the stores will open in Patchogue, on Montauk Highway. The company said the other store will be in Huntington Station at 711 E. Jericho Tpke.
