This Thursday, it's going to be all about the ladies at the 12th Women's Expo in Centereach.

The annual event, which allows local women entrepreneurs and business owners to showcase their products and companies, will take place at the Middle Country Library on Eastwood Blvd. from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Expo was first organized by the library in 2000 with 32 vendors. This year, the showcase is expecting around 82 exhibitors and over 2,000 attendees, said library director Sandy Feinberg.

The goal, Feinberg said, is to nurture women entrepreneurs. "It's not to run a trade show per se," she said. "It's to do the trade show as one type of business and networking event . . . and to take these women to the next level."

The event is free and open to the public.
