Report: Pall closing Michigan office

Pall Corp., a Port Washington-based maker of filtration devices and one of the largest public companies headquartered on Long Island, said Monday it would be closing its office in Ann Arbor, Mich., according to news website AnnArbor.com.

A notice filed with the state of Michigan said 55 of 71 employees would be laid off. The Michigan office manufactured lab equipment and did research and development.

Islandia software maker CA Technologies has won an appeal with the Internal Revenue Service that the company says will result in a refund of up to $80 million.
