The Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency has a new website and marketing brochure.

In an announcement Tuesday night, county officials said the site, www.SuffolkIDA.org, would spread the word about the agency’s tax breaks and other incentives for expanding businesses.

The site and three-page brochure were spearheaded by the agency’s new executive director, Anthony Manetta. He has said one of his objectives is to increase awareness of the IDA’s work.

The site, developed by Crown Advertising in Plainview under a $10,000 contract, offers a description of tax benefits, an application to apply for them, links to other state and local economic development groups and news stories about companies aided by the agency.

Eighteen businesses and not-for-profit organizations are mentioned as having received help recently, including guitar string manufacturer D’Addario, Peconic Bay Medical Center, Canon USA and Greenport Harbor Brewing Co.

The website is the first to be dedicated to the IDA; previously information about the agency was included on the site of the county’s economic development department.

The new marketing brochure, created by Harrison Leifer DiMarco Inc. of Rockville Centre for $12,000, touts the county’s skilled workforce, universities, proximity to New York City and Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone.

A new agency logo and the slogan, “Suffolk IDA: Where Suffolk County Means Business” were also introduced Tuesday night.

Manetta said, “Having an effective web presence is paramount when communicating with current and prospective Suffolk County companies. The site will have regular updates along with participation in social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.”
