Elizabeth Gross Cohn of Sea Cliff has been appointed the director of the Adelphi University Center for Health Innovation in Garden City. She is returning to Adelphi after spending the last five years at Columbia University in Manhattan, where she served as founding director of diversity and cultural affairs at the School of Nursing, the associate director of the community-engagement core of the Clinical and Translation Science Award and the co-chair of the Patient-Centered Outcomes/Comparative Effectiveness Research Consortium. ASSOCIATIONS

The Nassau County Village Officials Association has announced four new executive board officers.

Barbara Donno, mayor of the Village of Plandome Manor, will serve as first vice president.

Bernard Ryba, mayor of the Village of Old Brookville, will serve as second vice president.

Robert Kennedy, mayor of the Village of Freeport, will serve as treasurer.

Peter I. Cavallaro of Westbury has been elected president. He is the mayor of the Village of Westbury and will establish policies and direct the organization's efforts on behalf of village residents throughout Nassau.
