The Estate Planning Council of Nassau County in Mineola has announced new members to its board of directors. Regina Carey, of Holbrook, will serve as president. She works for U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management in Melville. Gary H. Friedenberg, of Melville, will serve as vice president. He works for Berkman, Henoch, Peterson, Peddy & Fenchel in Garden City. Albert V. Althaus, of Massapequa Park, will serve as secretary. He works for Creative Professional & Executive Planning Corp. in East Meadow. Sharon Pazienza will serve as treasurer. The Mount Sinai resident works for The First National Bank of Long Island in Garden City.

The American Heart Association has named new board members to its Long Island board of directors. Dr. James Albanese, of Glen Cove, is a cardiologist at North Nassau Cardiology Associates in Glen Cove. Alicia Figueras, of Bay Shore, is the business development manager at Hauppauge Industrial Association in Hauppauge. Ed Smith, a resident of Farmingdale, is chief financial officer at Overseas Military Sales Corp. in Woodbury. Dr. Louise Spadaro is an attending physician of cardiology at St. Francis Hospital and lives in Old Westbury.

REAL ESTATE

Spencer Cohen has joined Sabre Real Estate Group in Garden City as a senior associate. The Port Washington resident most recently worked at Vantage Management Services in Queens.

HEALTH CARE

Dr. Gerald M. Zupruk, of Port Jefferson, has joined Neurological Surgery and will work in the Patchogue and Port Jefferson Station locations. He previously served as chair of the department of orthopedics and neurosurgery at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca.

Liz Burke has joined Harrison Leifer DiMarco, a marketing and public relations agency in Rockville Centre, as senior account manager. The Long Beach resident most recently worked as an account supervisor for DKC Public Relations in Manhattan.

LAW

Susan L. Dahline, of Manhattan, has joined Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein in Garden City as an associate in the labor and employee benefits practice. She previously worked as an employee benefits and executive compensation attorney at Bond, Schoeneck & King in Syracuse.

Gaddi Goren joins Rivkin Radler in Uniondale as an associate in the firm's litigation and appeals practice. The Brooklyn resident previously worked as a law clerk in the law division of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
