Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip has made some new appointments.

Sharon Funkhouser of Centereach has been hired as a nurse manager for the D unit. She was a clinical research nurse coordinator with the leukemia-lymphoma transplant team at Stony Brook University Medical Center.

Dr. Michael Zaghi of Mineola has been hired as a mammographer at the Women’s Imaging Center at the hospital. He was a breast imager at Renaissance Imaging Medical Associates in Los Angeles.

Vincent Angeloro of Miller Place, assistant vice president of quality management, has been promoted to vice president, quality management and accreditation.

Dr. Leonard R. Krilov of Woodbury has been promoted from vice chairman to chairman of pediatrics at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola. He will also continue as chief of pediatric infectious disease at Winthrop.

Daniel J. DeBarba Jr. of Orange, Connecticut, has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer of Catholic Health Services in Rockville Centre. He was executive vice president of Western Connecticut Health Network and president of the Danbury and New Milford hospitals.

William Kelly of Babylon has been hired as director of engineering at Gurwin Jewish Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Commack. He was manager of engineering at South Oaks / Broadlawn Manor in Amityville.

Anthony Pignataro of East Northport has been hired as a sales agent in Hauppauge. He trained at the American Real Estate School in Hauppauge.

Stephen King of Patchogue has been hired as a sales agent in Patchogue, where he had been an agent with Coldwell Banker.

Edna Fetkowitz of Huntington Station, a Huntington Hospital volunteer and CEO and co-owner of Kaymont Consolidated Industries in Deer Park, has been elected president of the Nassau-Suffolk Council of Hospital Auxiliaries.
