Motorola notifies rest of 4,000 workers being let go
Telecommunications manufacturer Motorola Inc., parent of the former Symbol Technologies in Holtsville, said Wednesday it had notified the remainder of the 4,000 workers it had announced it would let go this year in a companywide cost-cutting program.
The company has not ruled out further job cuts this year.
