The region will save approximately $680 million per year in natural gas and electricity costs.
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) unanimously approved construction and operation of the Broadwater LNG Project, subject to the conditions reflected in the authorization. Key conclusions include:
FERC is made up of four Commissioners and a Chairman who are nominated by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate. No more than three of the Commissioners may be from the same party.
