BANKING
Christopher J. Hilton of Farmingdale has been named senior vice president and chief credit officer of Empire National Bank in Islandia. He was vice president and commercial loan officer at New York Commercial Bank following its acquisition of Long Island Commercial Bank. He is board treasurer and a director for the Child Care Council of Suffolk Inc. and board member of the Long Island chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
HEALTH
Dr. Kenneth J. Abrams has been named senior vice president of clinical operations at the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. He is also the system's associate chief medical officer. The Kinnelon, N.J., resident was patient safety officer and chairman of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine at AtlantiCare Health System in Pomona, N.J.
Dr. Marc Dinowitz has joined East End Eye Associates with offices in Ridge, Riverhead and Southold. The Wading River resident is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in dry eye and ocular surface disorders, medical and surgical diseases of the cornea, anterior segment reconstruction, cataracts and laser vision correction.
Dr. Rajiv Datta has been named medical director of the Cancer Center at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside. The Muttontown resident continues in his roles as chief of surgical oncology and head and neck surgery at the hospital. He joined the hospital in 2001 and before that was director of surgical oncology at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. He is chairman of the surgical oncology section of the Nassau Surgical Society.
HUMAN RESOURCES
Cara Calvin of Levittown has been promoted from benefits administrator to benefits supervisor at the Alcott Group in Farmingdale. She joined the company in 2005, and before that was a human resources generalist at TDK Electronics Corp. in Garden City. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management.
REAL ESTATE
Nancy McGann has been named managing partner of the Southampton office of Town & Country Real Estate. The Southampton resident has 27 years of experience in real estate as a sales associate for The Corcoran Group, and before that with Allan M. Schneider Associates, which was acquired by Corcoran. She also is a member of the Southampton Village Board.
Evelyn Comer has been named a broker at the Shelter Island office of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty. The Shelter Island resident was senior administrator to the president of Nassau Community College. Before that she worked for the Town of Hempstead as executive assistant and as a liaison to the Office of Women's Services.
SALES
Christian John Nielsen of Ridge has been named business manager and sales executive at Specialty Business Solutions in Deer Park. Hewas account executive for Lanier Business Systems in Melville.
TECHNOLOGY
Paul Thompson of Babylon has been named senior systems engineer in the managed services division of Custom Computer Specialists Inc. in Hauppauge. He has been with the company since 2000, most recently as systems engineer in the projects division.
