Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) today announced a newly formed partnership with the Community Oncology Pharmacy Association (COPA). The partnership between the two organizations provides COPA members with access to special pricing options and educational resources for ACHC’s nationally recognized Pharmacy Accreditation services. The partnership will also serve as a foundation to elevate the practice of oncology through the introduction of subspecialty accreditation offerings.

The Community Oncology Pharmacy Association (COPA) is a non-profit organization established to enhance the quality of care for cancer patients. COPA provides information exchange, education, standards, and other resources to help community oncology practices that operate in-practice dispensing or retail pharmacies effectively integrate oral cancer therapy into overall patient care.

“ACHC is thrilled to partner with COPA in an effort to provide the oncology community with resources and services that will lead to enhanced quality and efficiency of treatments,” said Tim Safley, ACHC Director, DMEPOS, Pharmacy, and Sleep. “We are encouraged by COPA’s forward thinking and development of the association to support community cancer clinics and their patients. It is a step in the right direction for the entire industry and will serve to support physicians with quality standards, best practices, and educational resources.”
