In its ongoing efforts to provide the most amenity-oriented lodging experience available, Antlers at Vail hotel in Vail, Colo., is offering a veritable cornucopia of comfort and convenience this Thanksgiving. The Antlers is giving guests the option of ordering a complete chef-prepared traditional dinner with all the trimmings delivered directly to their guest suite for the holiday, as well as complimentary ski valet and ski transfer to the slopes from on-site rental company Ski Butlers. And guests who consider Fido part of the family can get a homemade dog biscuit with their holiday meal as part of the Thanksgiving bounty.
“Thanksgiving is the ultimate family holiday and our guest suites with dining rooms and full kitchens are perfect for group dinners,” says Antlers at Vail General Manager Rob LeVine. “We were already offering Thanksgiving dinners prepared by Chef Barry Robinson and delivered ready to heat and serve around our guests’ Vail skiing and snowboarding schedule. But for some families – including my own – it isn’t a true holiday celebration without the dog. So we asked Chef Barry if he’d be willing to cook up some Thanksgiving specialty dog biscuits for furry guests, and he agreed.”
The Thanksgiving feast Chef Barry Robinson has planned for guests of the Vail Valley Platinum-ranked Antlers at Vail hotel includes roasted turkey breast and homemade giblet gravy, garlic-spiked mashed potatoes, oven-caramelized butternut squash, fresh green beans with toasted almonds, seasoned stuffing, sweet-tart cranberry sauce, mixed young greens with herb dressing, and for dessert – freshly-baked pumpkin pie and vanilla bean ice cream. The full meal will be delivered to guest suites in ovenproof, recyclable containers, ready to reheat at guests’ convenience. Cost is $35 per person, including service fee and excluding tax. Chef-baked dog biscuits can be included by request at no additional charge.
As another perk for holiday guests at the Antlers, Ski Butlers is now on-site to offer ski rentals and fittings, and provide complimentary ski valet service, shuttling all ski equipment back and forth to the slopes. Guests pick up gear in the morning at the handy rack at the bottom of the Lionshead Gondola and drop it off again there when they’re done for the day, and Ski Butlers will do the rest.
In addition to the special Thanksgiving dinner offering, Antlers at Vail guests can take advantage of the condominium hotel’s customary abundance of family-friendly amenities geared toward snow season, including complimentary hot chocolate and cider in the lobby by the fireplace, complimentary snowshoe rentals and loaner sleds, complimentary GoPro cameras to check out for capturing getaway memories, and complimentary movie rentals for that all-important down time.
Long known for welcoming pet guests – including serving as the Official Dog-Friendly Lodge of the GoPro Mountain Games – the Antlers has even hosted canine celebrities, including famous skateboarding bulldog Floyd. The Antlers at Vail gladly welcomes well-trained, well-behaved pets in approximately 20 percent of its units. Please call 1-800-843-8245 in advance to confirm that a pet-friendly room is available.
