BlueCut’s handcrafted aprons feature durable denim, twill, canvas and other fine weaves. It’s most popular style, Mason Selvage Apron ($89), features 10 oz. selvage denim from Cone Mills, 100% cotton webbing straps, copper rivets and antique brass hardware. Madison Water & Stain Repellent Apron ($59) is made of a traditional cotton/polyester material, matched with antique nickel hardware, and comes in a variety of appealing colors, such as bordeaux, dusty blue, black and white. They’ve recently created an aged apron collection utilizing their expertise in crafting unique washes and finishes. Chachi Prasad and Karam Kim, a husband and wife design team are the founders of the premium denim line Bishop, the New York City natives cut their teeth on Fashion Avenue, working for Calvin Klein, John Varvatos, Yigal Azrouel and Oscar by Oscar de La Renta. In 2009 Chachi and Karam were commissioned by restaurateurs and chefs to create cool, stylish, and functional aprons for their establishments.
