Physician expands occupational health service company’s national outreach.

WorkCare, Inc., announced today that Jonathan M. Szenics, M.D., M.P.H., has joined its Associate Medical Director team as part of the company's expanding presence in the Northeastern United States.
Dr. Szenics comes to WorkCare from Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Penn., where he served as Medical Director of Occupational and Employee Health Services. He has more than 25 years of experience in occupational medicine.
“My affiliation with WorkCare allows me to expand my professional scope and utilize my expertise to assist organizations in all areas of workforce health management,” Dr. Szenics said. “I feel my background complements the integrated solutions WorkCare offers employers.”
WorkCare provides workforce health protection and management services to companies of all sizes and types in the U.S. and abroad. Dr. Szenics will be based at a newly acquired WorkCare office in Somerville, NJ. In addition to medical consulting, the new branch location will also house members of WorkCare's Exams & Compliance and Incident Intervention/Injury Assist teams
Dr. Szenics is licensed to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Tennessee, with additional licenses pending. His well-established presence in the Northeast enlarges WorkCare’s footprint in areas where the company is experiencing considerable growth, said Bill Nixon, WorkCare’s chief financial officer.

Dr. Szenics formerly operated a clinical and advisory occupational and environmental medicine practice in Allentown, Penn., and the greater Philadelphia area. He has consulted to manufacturers, service industries, insurers, hospitals, labor unions and public-sector organizations. He formerly was a clinical assistant professor at the Rutgers Environmental and Occupational Health Science Institute and medical director of Capital Health’s Corporate Health Program, Trenton, NJ.
Dr. Szenics received his medical doctorate from UMDNJ-Rutgers Medical School, Piscataway, NJ, and his master of public health degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed residency training in preventive medicine/occupational medicine at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He is board-certified in occupational medicine, a fellow in the American College of Preventive Medicine and a National Board of Medical Examiners Diplomate.
His interests include technology to prevent vocational and avocational hearing loss, and patented inventions of an audio signal enhancement and application system and a stringed musical instrument.
