Employee responses push N2 to top of national pack for quality workplaces

Entrepreneur Magazine – in partnership with CultureIQ – recently listed N2 Publishing as one of the Top Company Cultures for 2015 in the large enterprise category. The honor came after N2 employees took part in a survey, which focused on 10 measurable qualities of high-performance cultures.

According to a statement from Entrepreneur, N2 – which publishes community magazines for neighborhoods around the country – “is recognized for creating an exceptional culture that drives employee engagement, exceeds employee expectations and directly impacts company success.”

The 2015 list consists of 75 companies categorized as small, medium or large enterprises.

“N2’s ranking as a Top Company Culture is really humbling,” said Duane Hixon, CEO of N2 Publishing. “Our goal with N2 is to positively impact lives. This award, in particular, is important since it’s based on feedback from our teammates and it represents the impact N2 has on their lives, both in and out of work."

Company rankings were determined using CultureIQ's methodology for measuring high-performance cultures. N2 employees gave feedback on company characteristics such as collaboration, innovation, agility, communication, support, wellness, work environment, responsibility, performance focus, as well as mission and value alignment. In the end, N2’s responses helped them earn a spot on the inaugural list.
